DR LAURA WALSH - osteopath
Founder of Quay Osteo Laura is a surf, beach & dog lover. Like many Torquay locals she lives for the ocean and the outdoors and is passionate about making sure her patients can stay active and enjoy them too.
"Being healthy is a lifestyle, it's not a destination. I love supporting multiple aspects of people's health through osteopathy, and connecting them with other great practitioners who can work together to create a level of wellbeing and energy that excites our clients."
Before setting up her own practice Laura was the osteopath at Carlton Football Club and taught osteopathic students at RMIT University. As well as sports and surfing injuries, Laura particularly enjoys working with women with pre- and post-natal care and with the musculoskeletal symptoms of mental and emotional stress.
Dr. Yolanda Fisher - osteopath
Yolli is a graduate of the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), which is well known for offering all students the opportunity to treat children and pre- and post-natal women at an undergraduate level. As a result, Yolli’s delight in treating maternal and infant patients was sparked. Yolli is passionate about using her experience, both professionally and personally to support patients towards their health-related goals.
Being very active herself, Yolli appreciates the pivotal role movement and physical activity has upon the body, particularly when working towards a pain-free life. Yolli enjoys using a variety of techniques, from strong massage techniques and joint manipulation, through to gentle connective tissue unwinding.
‘I always knew I wanted to simultaneously use my hands and my head to heal’. Despite falling into Osteopathy by accident, Yolli couldn’t imagine doing anything else or being anywhere else.
Having recently moved to the Surf Coast from the country side surrounding Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, Yolli’s appreciation for the Australian way-of-life has escalated exponentially. She intensely resonates with the active and healthy lifestyle the SurfCoast promotes, spending every spare hour walking her kelpie pup or training in the gym.
DR. Hayden cohen - osteopath
Hayden grew up not far from Torquay on the coast and enjoys spending time in the water, on whatever craft he can get his hands on as well as open ocean swimming.
Since graduating from RMIT with a Masters in Osteopathy, he has practiced locally and volunteered abroad. Hayden has a strong sense of compassion for people with health issues across a broad range of problems. He experience enables a versatile approach, incorporating techniques ranging from deep massage and manipulation, through to gentle myofascial unwinding and cranial osteopathy.
Naturally, his varied sporting background, which includes competitive surfing, football, basketball, ocean swimming and tennis means he is well-versed in helping people with injury prevention, management and rehabilitation.
Hayden also has a particular interest in family care, working with babies, pregnancy, and post-natal management, and really enjoys helping young children to full health.
Hayden is available at the clinic Monday through Friday.
